Chapter 7

Panel 1 (row 1, left)
Rachel hangs her head, the woman has an arm across her stomach and rests her elbow on that arm, holding a few of her long fingers over her wide smile.
Rachel: How can you...?
Woman: Hmm?
Rachel: How can you stand there with that wicked smile after you've admitted to killing someone!?

Panel 2 (row 1, right)
The woman now has both hands folded infront of her, Rachel remains with her head hung, looking up slightly.
Woman: I havn't killed anyone, dear.
Rachel: William... You killed William Montgomery. You changed his body, erased his mind, removed the memory of him from everyone who he mattered to. You've not only killed him, but you've effectively erased everything about him from existence!

Panel 3 (row 2, left)
The woman smiles even wider, Rachel glares at her as she is slowly bringing her head up, seeming to be holding herself back as much as possible.
Woman: You surprise me, Rachel Hawke. You seemed to want to be rid of this boy more than anyone, yet you sit here and defend him as he was. He is not dead, we simply made his life better. He is much happier now this way.
Rachel: Regardless, you removed his consciousness completely from this world. That's as good as murder!

Panel 4 (row 2, right)
The woman seems bored with Rachel. Rachel is raising an eyebrow some.
Woman: Although it was not his choice, William Montgomery would be thankful for this opportunity to have a new shot at a successful life. He was, as you know, headed down a road destined for failure.
Rachel: That's not my point!
Woman: Perhaps it'd be easiest to simply chance your point of view.

Panel 5 (row 3, left)
Rachel looks up suddenly with a look of shock. the woman returns to a grin.
Rachel: You wouldn't!
Woman: Well, we have been running out of things to study with your project. Perhaps we should finish things up here and call it complete.
Rachel: You're not going to get away with this! I know that you're here now. I know you're face! There's no hiding now!

Panel 6 (row 3, right)
The woman breaks into great laughter, Rachel's shock causes her to pull back some.
Woman: And you truly thought that we were going to let you leave here remembering all this!? I think it'll be fun leaving you with knowledge of your project. But my face, my voice, you won't remember me even if I walk up to you and introduce myself! This room, our location, we're going to make it so you're completely certain that we were never here. We put you in a van and took you to places unknown. You're completely underestimating us, young lady!

Panel 7 (row 4, full row)
The woman stands over Rachel, arms crossed, a big grin on her face. Rachel has gone wide eyed as the scientist who lead Rachel to the room is injecting a needle of an unknown fluid into her arm.
Woman: Bon au revoir, Rachel Hawke.
I am with Rachel on the William case-- I have NEVER been a fan of the re-writing ones mind version of TF/TG. I am in the same opinion that it is just like killing the individual, even if the new person is better in general than the old. They're like a fake person...

Totally agreed with the mind wiping. It's okay if they start having a gradual mental shift (like Ryan/Rachel has had, where they slowly start adapting to their gender), but I don't like memory wipes or complete personality overrides. It is worse than killing the character, because the character is suddenly vanishing from existence. TG/TF is always more fun if the person maintains all or most of their normal self, which makes reactions and subsequent plotlines more fun to see/read.
